ROBERT IHLANG POST 537  NEW LONDON, MN

COMMANDER: DAN PURKAT

Text Box: Greetings:
Now that just about all of the graduation parties are over, it is time to get down to enjoying the summer. Unfortunately, July is the month with the highest rate of alcohol related auto accidents. So let’s be careful out there.
For those marching in the Spicer parade, the line up and reporting area is at the north end of the Green Lake mall parking lot. Reporting time is 9:00 AM. Thanks to all that participated.
Also on the horizon is the Water Days Parade. The parade is on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Line up will be starting at 10:00 AM in the parking lots of Glen Oaks, the “Old” Clinic and the Evangelical Church. We hope to have a good turnout for this also, so please participate if it is at all possible. Then, stick around for the fireworks that evening. That promises to be a big show.
Another thing to look forward to is the antique car run in August. This adventure always requires a
great deal of volunteer work, so please help them in any way you can.
As you can see, there is still a lot of things to do yet this summer; so, if at all possible, try and get some time for you and your family to enjoy the festivities and the area happenings.
See you at the next meeting.

Respectfully submitted,
Daniel C. Purkat
